NDIS Client Feature: Suzie’s Story

Understanding how the smallest of actions can have incredible results is a critical step to identifying how clients like Suzie can begin to regain the control and freedom they once thought they’d lost.

In Suzie’s example, there was a desire for connection and engagement on a one-to-one basis, as well as at a community level.

Here is what Suzie has experienced in her own words:

“I believe that Platinum have changed my life. It has been amazing. I went from being this lonely person and the carers that come to me, they feel like family to me. They are always very thoughtful to my needs. I write them a little note on the table of all the things I’d like to do for the day. We always run out of time, of course, because I just don’t want them to go home.”

Search For Family

One of the biggest opportunities people have with us, as an NDIS provider, is to build connection with a passionate team of carers and support workers who (in many instances) become friends and confidants.

These relationships cannot be programmed or mandated and are developed naturally off the back of trust and the visible care our staff give, over and above what their roles require.

Search For Connection

While Suzie’s needs are unique, her story of finding that connection is, thankfully, not. With a focus on understanding the needs of each of our clients, Platinum Healthcare Group is wholly committed to exceeding them and helping people be a part of the Platinum family.

I wouldn’t change it for a thing. I would be really heartbroken not to see my girls come and see me because they’ve become so much a part of my life.
