Aged and Disability Support Worker, Swan Valley

Location:  SW’s required for Swan Valley and Hills area, including Ellenbrook, West Swan, Lesmurdie, etc

Worktype:  Casual

Rate:  ranging from $25 – $44 per hour

Experienced Support Workers are required to provide support to clients in their own home and in the community. The role will require supporting clients with a range of disabilities as well as clients with failing health due to ageing.

Preference will be given to a candidate living in the areas listed above as you’ll be supporting clients in the eastern hills suburbs of Perth.

Duties & Responsibilities of Support Workers:

As a support worker, you will work with clients who need help due to ageing, sickness , injury or disabilities. Support is provided in clients’ homes or in the community and can involve things like:

  • Personal care
  • Housekeeping
  • Meal preparation
  • Activities/exercise support
  • Companionship and social support
  • Transport service for appointments, shopping and outings

Minimum qualifications, certificates and experience for Support Worker:

You are also required to have:

  • Current First Aid certificate
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working With Children Check
  • Current Manual Handling certificate
  • Hand Hygiene certificate
  • Medication competency
  • Current Drivers Licence and a roadworthy vehicle that is registered and insured
  • An appropriate Cert III qualification, or healthcare studies in a relevant field
  • Previous paid employment in aged or disability care.
