About the Role of Support Workers:

As a support worker, you will work with clients who need help due to ageing, sickness , injury or disabilities. The ideal candidates are willing and able to work flexibly and are available to work across all hours, including early starts. There is opportunity for ongoing work with regular clients for the right individual. Support is provided in clients’ homes or in the community and can involve things like:

  • Personal care
  • Housekeeping
  • Meal preparation
  • Activities/exercise support
  • Companionship and social support
  • Transport service for appointments, shopping and outings

Location:  Floreat.

As well as the surrounding Western Suburbs.

Worktype:  Casual/PT

Rate:  ranging from $25 – $44 per hour

Requirements for Support Worker:

  • Flexibility in desired work hours and wanting to work at least 10 hours per week

  • A high level of organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • The capacity to adapt to a variety of situations and work as part of a motivated team
  • Good personal presentation

Minimum qualifications, certificates and experience for Support Worker:

You are also required to have:

  • Current First Aid certificate
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working With Children Check
  • Current Manual Handling certificate
  • Hand Hygiene certificate
  • Medication competency
  • Current Drivers Licence and a roadworthy vehicle that is registered and insured
  • Confidence and competence in driving on all Perth roads
  • Previous paid employment in aged or disability care

Lastly, an appropriate Cert III qualification or healthcare studies in a relevant field, while not essential, will be highly regarded.
